Snickars Records — the independent vinyl shop DJ Mika Snickars founded in 1995 — has been a second home for Stockholm's DJs and diggers for thirty years.
On October 20, 2025, during renovation of the building's heating system, a pipe that was never properly connected poured dirty black water into the shop for hours. Records, shelves, the floor — soaked.
The shop and the Discogs store were closed for two and a half months while the rent kept running. The damage came to about 850,000 SEK. After eleven months, insurance paid out 190,000.
So on November 7, Stockholm's music scene does what it does best: plays, pours and passes the hat for Mika and the shop.

Contribute the DJ's usual fee and, if you can, match it. Suggested: 2,000 SEK + 2,000 SEK — but every amount counts and it's entirely voluntary.
